During my hiatus from design and print I ventured into the trade of sign writing as it has always fascinated me. I needed a change from desk bound design and decided to add to my skill set by learning the trade. I worked for a signage company located in Melbourne northern suburbs for two years, full time, then part time while learning print and design for signage, job quotation, production, fabrication, lighting, preparation right through to installation. Once I felt confident, I purchased a Solvent pinter and started to produce signage for customers. Having this experience and adding to exisiting skill set has allowed me to do work and gain more experience in aspect of design, print and beyond.
