Battle Frogs Game iOS | Android
Self produced iOS and android game designed and developed with outsourced developers. I self financed this project to develop a very simple, highly addictive 2D game with game play and logic balanced somewhere between a 80’s 8bit gamed a modern action puzzle game. Primarily the purpose of this game was to follow my interests in game development and production and to allow myself to have the experience in developing a commercial game from concept to release. The secondary purpose of the game was to utilise the freemium business model strategy and monetise with in game purchases and advertising revenue.
Having project managed and developed web games for brands including, Ford, Boost Mobile I utilised this experience and applied this to the project. I designed the look and feel of the game, the game graphics, characters, background and animation, game play logic and mechanics. As I did not posses talents in programming languages, I out sourced the development.
Initially the game was developed in Corona Engine with 2 proof of concepts being developed, however I wanted the game to be played cross platform not only on mobile but also in console. We redeveloped the game in Unity 3D engine as this allowed publishing to multiple platforms from one source and was becoming the standard engine for quick turn around multi-platform releases without re writing and porting code to other platforms. The game is awaiting final development and completion of multiplayer cross platform server before final development and public release.
